Mr. E. Jones serves as a Non-Executive Director of Altan Nevada Minerals Limited and Altan Rio Minerals Limited. Prior to that, he was the Commercial Manager of Troy Resources Brasil Participacoes Ltd., a subsidiary of Troy Resources NL, a mining company listed in Canada and Australia. He also worked as an Executive Advisor with Westchester Corporate Finance in Australia. Mr E. Jones’ twelve years of experience in corporate advisory and commercial management in the mining industry, including six years based in developing countries has a enabled him to build business networks and negotiate opportunities. He holds a Bachelor of Information Technology (Information Systems) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance & Management) from Bond University in Australia.
Mr. J. Jones serves as a Chairman and Director of Altan Nevada Minerals Limited and Altan Rio Minerals Limited. He has been a Director of Troy Resources NL since 1988 and was Chairman from late 1988 until October 2008. Since 1990, he has been Chairman of Anglo Australian Resources NL. He was formerly Chairman and Director of North Kalgurli Mines Limited and was a founding director of Jones Mining NL. Mr. J. Jones has been a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy since 1977. He is a prominent player in the international mining sector for over thirty years with a long list of successes. His guiding involvement in four companies led to the discovery of four deposits and the development of eight mines.
Mr. Harris is an experienced executive in the management of construction and engineering projects in Australia and overseas. He is an Executive Director of Swanline Developments Pty Ltd., a privately owned Australian company focused property development and investment, project management and business investment. Mr. Harris has worked fo 10 years for both Alcoa of Australia Ltd., which operates one of the world’s largest integrated bauxite mining, alumina refining and aluminium smelting systems, and the United Group Limited, an Australian engineering company. Mr. Harris also has extensive experience as a director of various businesses. He has been the non-executive Chairman of Integrated Project Solutions Pty Ltd., an Australian design and construction Management provider, a non-executive director of Hagglunds Drives Pty Ltd. and a non-executive director Biodiesel Producers Ltd. Mr. Harris is the former Managing Director and Chairman of Silver Swan Group Ltd. and was a non-executive director of Caravel Minerals Limited. He was also the non executive Chairman of Mount Barker Community Windfarm. Mr. Harris is qualified as a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mr. Harris’s formal qualifications are in Legal Studies and Public Administration.
Kerry – (Bsc (Geol), Dip Eng Geol, MAIG) has 24 years experience in mining geology, resource development and exploration in Australia, Africa, South/Central America and Asia including more than 18 years in senior roles with such companies as Newcrest Mining, Sons of Gwalia, Consolidated Minerals, Ivanhoe Mines, Aspire Mining Ltd., Haranga Resources Ltd., Lindian Resources Ltd. and Latin Resources Ltd.
After graduating from the University of Canterbury, Kerry began his career as a mine geologist at Telfer Gold Mine and has since had extensive hands on experience in mine development and management, designing and managing exploration and resource drilling programs, resource modelling and estimation, the management and training of geological/technical teams, business development and corporate affairs. His experience includes five years with Ivanhoe Mines as the Senior Development Geologist during the discovery and development of the world class Oyu Tolgoi Project. Also in Mongolia Kerry was responsible for the identification, acquisition and management of Aspire Mining’s Ovoot Coking Coal Deposit and the resource estimation and development of Haranga Resource’s Selenge Magnetite Iron Ore Project. More recently he has been involved with hard rock lithium development in Argentina and copper gold project development in Peru and Mexico
Kerry is both a Competent Person under JORC and a Qualified Person for 43-101 reporting.
Brian has a Bachelor of Business degree from the Western Australian Institute of Technology, specializing in Business Law and Accounting, and a Graduate Diploma in Property from Curtin University. He is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Management Consultant. As well as previously been a board member of the West Australian Ballet for over 11 years, and Chair of Chrissie Parrott Arts, Brian has held directorships within public and private companies and not for profit entities, and is currently a Director of Altan Nevada Minerals Limited (listed on Toronto Ventures Exchange), Co3 Contemporary Dance (an Australian NFP), GlobalParking Management, Inc. and CW Developments, Inc (Philippines companies). He has a strong knowledge of strategy, finance and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
